Music Service Spotify launches in Australia and New Zealand,

Spotify today expanded its music service to Australia and New Zealand. Music lovers in both countries will now be able to access Spotify's desktop app for free. They can also opt for ad-free listening with an Unlimited subscription or upgrade to Premium for mobile access, too.

In New Zealand, Spotify Unlimited will set you back $7.49 per month, while Spotify Premium will cost $12.99. In Australia, the same options will be $6.99 and $11.99 per month, respectively.

Digital music service Spotify has launched in Australia and New Zealand, offering users the chance to listen to its archive of over 16 million music tracks.

The advertising supported service has launched with partners such as Commonwealth Bank, CUB, Fairfax Media’s websites Daily Life and TheVine, McDonalds, ninemsn and Virgin Mobile, who will run campaigns in partnership with Spotify in the coming months.

The popular music streaming service Spotify is now available to our friends down under in Australia and in New Zealand. I’m madly in love with Spotify’s service — particularly its premium option, which costs $9.99 per month and allows me to stream tunes on my phone and store it offline — but it’s also great for sharing tunes with friends or creating joint playlists with a group of people.
