Kate Winslet Scores Trophy For Mildred Pierce; Emmy Award, Kate Winslet was stunning in a red Elie Saab gown that accentuated the actress’ curvaceous figure at the 2011 Emmy Awards in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theater. Kate was one of many starlets who opted for red and for Kate it brought good tidings. Winslet took home the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress for her role in the miniseries Mildred Pierce.

Kate said in her acceptance speech,

“Mildred Pierce was capable of great acts of love as a mother. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what you do with your life, you will never stop needing your mum. And I will never stop needing mine, so thanks mum.”
